Business Manager's Report

This is the Business Manager’s Report for Thursday, July 3rd.

I would like to thank everyone who attended this morning's T-6 mobilization rally in Medway.  The rally was a tremendous success and demonstrated the memberships' commitment to and concern for the bargaining process over the next few weeks.  The rally featured some special guests, political supporters, friends from organized labor, the System Council T-6 bargaining team, and one large rat.  The rat symbolizes corporate greed, manipulation, and disrespect for the working class.  Pictures and video from the rally will soon be available on this website.

The IBEW and CWA bargaining teams last met with the company on Tuesday, July 2nd in Rye, New York.  Discussions centered on health care and prescription drug proposals.  Talks have broken down for the holiday weekend and will resume next week.  If you would like to receive email updates, please send your personal email address to ibew2325@ibew.com

We now have less than one month remaining until the expiration of our current contract.  Continue mobilization activities, continue to wear red on Thursdays, and show solidarity whenever you can.  Do not assist management by taking set-ups, these are the people who are planning on doing your job one month from now while you are walking a picket line!  Be where you are supposed to be at all times and most of all work safely.  Support your bargaining team and your local, and be proud to be a union member!

Have a safe holiday weekend and remember to think, work, and act like a union member!

 Thank you for your attention.

In Solidarity,
David S. Keating, Business Manager
IBEW Local 2325
